Born Marion Thabourin, Vanille, after a nickname given by her sister, is a French electro-pop musician, singer-songwriter and producer from France.
Trying to absorb Damien Rice's “O” album, she started singing and playing acoustic guitar in high school. While living in London for 5 years later on, she started songwriting and composing. She then moved to Berlin for a year to undertake further study in electronic music.
Influenced by her time living in London, Paris or Berlin, she writes in English and in French. She cites Maggie Rogers, The Japanese House and Billie Eilish as her greater inspiration lyrics and sonic wise.
Her first single “strangers” was released in april 2024 and her first EP “supernova” is coming out in september 2024.
